Criminal Law News: O.J. Simpson Gets Bail

In recent criminal law news, O.J. Simpson did not enter a plea today.  His bail was set at $125,000 for an armed robbery at a Las Vegas casino.  O.J. was asked if he understood the charges against him and he is expected to be released soon.  O.J. is facing life in prison and is charged with ten felony counts:

  • Two counts of first degree kidnapping
  • Two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon
  • Burglary while in possession of a firearm
  • Coercion while in possession of a deadly weapon
  • Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon
  • Conspiracy to commit kidnapping
  • Conspiracy to commit robbery
